What are the Check-in and Check-out times?
Check-in: 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM,
Check-out: up to 10:00 AM.
Is early check-in before 3:00 PM possible? Early check-in depends on availability and room readiness. Please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate you or store your luggage until your room is ready.
Is late check-in after 8:00 PM possible? Yes, late check-in is possible upon prior arrangement. Please inform us of your expected arrival time in advance so we can provide you with self-check-in instructions.
What is the cancellation policy?
Accommodation cancellation: Free cancellation up to 5 days before arrival. For cancellations made less than 5 days before arrival, a fee of 20% to 100% of the total booking amount will apply.
Activity cancellation (Rafting, Canyoning…): Free cancellation up to 2 hours before the start. Late cancellations will be charged in full.
Cancellation by Penzion Hosnar: In case of force majeure or technical failures, we reserve the right to cancel. A full refund will be issued, but no further compensation claims will be accepted.
AMENITIES & PARKING
Is parking available, and how much does it cost?
Yes, we offer private parking for all our guests right next to the accommodation, and it costs €7 per day. No reservation is required.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire property and in all guest rooms.
Do the apartments have Air Conditioning (AC)?
Yes, all our apartments are equipped with air conditioning for your comfort during hot summer days.
Are pets allowed?
Pets are not allowed in the apartments at Penzion Hosnar and Hosnar House.
Is there an EV charging station?
We have an EV charging station directly on-site in our private parking lot at Penzion Hosnar. Please notify reception upon arrival to arrange access and payment.
Are there stairs to reach the apartments?
- Penzion Hosnar (Main House): Apartments Lev, Time Out, and Ančka are located on the ground floor with step-free access.
- Penzion Hosnar (Main House): Apartments Mucho, Gusto, Hosnar, and Mišc are on the 1st floor and require climbing stairs.
- Hosnar House: All apartments – #1 – #8 – are located on the 1st floor and are accessible by stairs only (no elevator).
BREAKFAST & DINING
Do you offer breakfast, and how much does it cost?
For Staying Guests: Breakfast is included in the room rate for all our staying guests!
For External Visitors: Breakfast is available for non-hotel guests upon availability in our dining area for €14.90 per person. Please check with reception in advance.
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast is served daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM in our dining area.
Is room service for breakfast available?
Breakfast is served exclusively in our main dining area and garden terrace, so room service is not available.
What kind of breakfast do you serve?
We serve a rich continental buffet breakfast featuring local cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, pastries, eggs, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee, and juices.
Do you offer options for guests with food allergies (gluten-free, lactose-free)?
Yes, we offer gluten-free bread and plant-based milk upon request. Please note that we do not carry a broader range of specialized dietary products. While we carefully separate food items (fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, spreads) during preparation to avoid cross-contamination, our kitchen is not a certified allergen-free environment, so we cannot guarantee a 100% gluten-free guarantee.

What is included in the apartment?
All apartments feature fully equipped kitchens (cookware, dishes, stovetop, refrigerator, espresso machine), private bathrooms with towels and hair dryers, bed linen, air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi.
Do you provide a baby cot and high chair?
Yes, baby cots and high chairs are available upon request for our youngest guests free of charge. Please request them in advance so we can prepare them for your arrival.
Do you have luggage storage?
Yes, we offer free luggage storage if you arrive early or wish to explore Bovec after checking out.
Is there secure storage for bikes and sports equipment?
Yes, we provide a secure, lockable storage room for bicycles, kayaks, and skiing gear, free of charge.
Can I borrow an iron and ironing board?
Yes, irons and ironing boards are available upon request at the reception.
Do the apartments have a washing machine? / Where can I wash my laundry?
Full-Service Laundry: We offer a laundry service for €10 per load. Simply leave your clothes with our reception team, and we will wash and dry them for you.
Self-Service Laundry: All guests (from both properties) are welcome to use the self-service washing machine located in the Hosnar House building free of charge. Please make sure to bring your own laundry detergent.
Do you have barbecue facilities?
Yes, we have an outdoor BBQ area in the garden available for guest use. Please contact reception to arrange usage and equipment.
Do you have a Wellness area, and how can we book it?
Yes, we offer a private outdoor wellness area! It is available upon request and subject to availability.
To ensure everything is heated and prepared for you, please let us know your desired time at least one day in advance (or at least 3 hours prior).

Do you provide a restaurant for dinner?
No, we offer breakfast only. While we do not serve dinner on-site, all our apartments and studios come equipped with private kitchens, and we are happy to recommend wonderful local restaurants and traditional taverns within short walking or driving distance!
RENTALS & LOCAL ACTIVITIES
Do you offer bike and scooter rentals at Penzion Hosnar?
Yes! We offer E-bike and scooter rentals directly at our property. It is a stress-free and convenient way to explore Bovec and the Soča River valley without worrying about parking.
What activities can we do in the Soča Valley?
The Soča Valley is an outdoor paradise offering world-class rafting, kayaking, canyoning, ziplining, hiking, mountain biking, fly fishing, and paragliding.
Can you book guided tours or water sports activities for us?
Yes! We can advise you on and organize all sports activities in the Soča Valley directly.
Do I need to book in advance? Advance booking is not necessary. It is actually best to arrange your activities upon arrival or during breakfast at reception. This allows us to tailor the timing perfectly to your plans, preferences, and the current weather conditions.
Do you have hiking and biking suggestions?
Yes! Popular hikes include the Soča Trail, Virje Waterfall, and Svinjak. Check more hikes HERE

The nearest grocery store Mercator is located in the center of Bovec, about a 5–10 minute walk (1–2 minute drive) from Penzion Hosnar.

Do I need to make a reservation?
High Season (April – September): Yes, reservations are strictly required as restaurants fill up very quickly.
Low Season (October – March): Advance reservations are usually not needed, but we recommend checking opening hours in advance, as many restaurants operate on reduced schedules outside the summer season.
